We now have our new FREE workshops prepared and ready for you - all you have to do is sign up!
In Banff we are holding a workshop to help you reach your audience through brilliant killer headlines and by showing you how to use all those juicy quotes to have them clambering at the door to see your event! In the city, we are pleased to have sponsorship from Art & Heritage Collections at RGU for the Crowdfunding workshop. This will help all the organisations who are looking for funding by showing them the new revolutionary way to fund their projects - a must for all those who can no longer rely on funding from public bodies.

We held the Crowdfunding workshop in RGU and the Killer Headlines workshop in Banff - both were very well attended and packed full of information - alongside some wonderful ideas and suggestions to take forward and produce - exciting!

crowdfundingsmallOur very own Sian Jaimieson of HI~Arts and GANE gave a wonderful workshop on crowdfunding at RGU last week.  It was well attended by both the arts organisations and students alike.  Amazing suggestions and idea have come forth from the workshop and exciting new ventures are starting to be realised...can't wait to follow them up and see the success that they will undoubtedly be able to achieve!  We also thank the Art and Heritage Collections for the wonderful room and lunch that they generously provided for the workshop.

killerheadlineslgeJan McTaggart returned to us here at GANE to deliver another very informative, fun and realistic insight into all the tricks of the trade and also very useful information on what to do when things go wrong...and they do!  Having the workshop in the beautiful Banff Castle was the perfect setting for an excellent day full of light and laughter and as always, we were made very welcome by Jay Wilson...who makes just the best carrot cake!

GANE Survey 2011gane survey 2011

Have you got 10 minutes to spare?

Growing Audiences North East is completing its original three-year programme, and so we need to take stock and look at what has worked over the last three years, and what still needs to be done.  We need your thoughts and feedback please!
GANE evaluation survey

This evaluation is not just important to us, but also to the cultural sector as a whole in the North East, as the results will feed into the Aberdeen City Council Cultural Review, and the current Creative Scotland Options Appraisal for Audience Development Provision in Scotland, and it will also aid the development of GANE’s Go Local campaign. Each of these elements will help to determine, not just the future of GANE and of audience development in the region, but also the more general provision of support to those working in Culture and Creativity in the North East of Scotland.

whats_on_logoWith over 300 million users world-wide, Facebook is a very powerful online platform where you not only can connect with friends and family, but can also very easily promote your cultural events to a wide network of people. GANE has recently set up a dedicated page on Facebook for all North East arts organisations to post their events, and for audiences to find out what's happening in our area. The page is now also part of our Go Local campaign, to encourage audiences to take more advantage on what's on their doorstep. Even better, if you are representing an organisation, you are invited to become one of the many administrators, which gives you the ability to post your event straight onto the walls of all the people who have 'liked' the What's On page (and that's quite a few!). You or your organisation do, of course, have to have a Facebook account yourself in order to benefit from this opportunity. Go and have a look!
